Switching Section in SMPS
Identification: In this section has Two Switching Transistor Attached with Heat sink, Primary Winding of SM Transformer and Secondary winding of Driver Transistor.
Function : This section receive 300v dc and convert into dc by switching and provide to SM txfr primary winding.
Fault ( Isolation): If 2v to 45 v AC presnt at secondary winding of SM T. it Meams this section working properly
If no any voltgae present at this point, it means this section is not working.
Problem/Solution
Problem 1:If no any Ac voltage present at S. W of SM T.
Solution: in this condition first of all check switching transistor biasing .if all biasing OK but no switching .then check cool testing of both transistor if transistor is OK then check PWM CKT . component and also check control IC biasing.
