About Hard Disk 
A hard disk is part of a unit, often called a "disk drive," "hard drive," or "hard disk drive," that stores and provides relatively quick access to large amounts of data on an electromagnetically charged surface or set of surfaces.

Type  of Hard disk: There are mostly five type of hard disk

1-ATA hard disk : it is also known as PATA and IDE . it has 40 pin connector for Data and 4 pin for Power.
2-SATA hard disk: it has 7 pin for data and 15 pin for power.
3-SCSI Hard disk: it ha 50, 68 and 80 pin for data and 4 pin for power.
4-SSD hard  disk. it is same as SATA hard but storage media change SATA hard disk store the data on Platter and SSD hard hard disk store the data on ROM Chip IC.
5-External hard disk: Is is also known as portable and USb hard disk.

1-Platter : it is media where store the data.
2-Spindle Motor:It is rotate the platter.
3-Read/write Head:  its read and write data from Platter.
4-Actuator: Move the head.
5-Head arm : it connectivity between actuator and head.
6-Logic Board:It interface between hard disk and computer.
